Sri Lanka defeated Nepal and Pakistan defeated Afghanistan on the first day of 11th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 at Punjab Stadium Lahore here on Saturday.
Lt. Gen (Retd) Syed Arif Hassan President Pakistan Olympic Associationwas the Chief Guest on the opening day of championship. Mr. Shaukat Javed President and Syed Khawar Shah Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball welcome the Chief Guest.
On the first match of 11th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 Sri Lanka beat Nepal 18 – 0.
On the second match Pakistan beat Afghanistan 34 – 0. For Pakistan Sumair Zawar, Nasir Butt, Abu Bakar score 5 each, Basit Murtaza, Adnan Butt, Umair Bhatti scored 4 runs each, Asif Mushtaq score 3 runs and Umer, Zaheer Bashir contributed with 2 runs each.
Mr. Sujeewa (Sri Lanka) was Chief Umpire and Mr. Sampath Vithanage (Sri Lanka) was First Base Umpre, Mr. Zafar Warriach (Pakistan) 2nd Base umpire and Mr. Jameel Kamran (Pakistan) was 3rd Base umpre.
