KARACHI: Aisam-ul-Haq and his partner Rojer Julien lost 3-6, 7-6, 7-10 to Fyrstenberg M and Matkowski M in a tough doubles quarter-final of Barcelona Open on Friday.
Their opponents at this ATP-500 clay court tournament were from Poland, both ranked 11th in the world doubles.
Earlier, the duo had won their first match 6-4, 6-4 against Soctland’s Andy Murray (ranked 75th) and Jamie Murray (ranked 40th) in the first round.
With a world ranking of 14 in doubles, this year Aisam has lost nine matches after partnering with Rojer Julien (ranked 36th) of Netherlands Antilles.
