KARACHI: Karachi District Amateur Basketball Association ( KDABA) will organise two separate coaching and training camps for young players during the summer vacations, secretary Muhammad Azeem-us-Shan announced on Saturday.
He said that summer coaching and training camps for both boys and girls would be held separately under the guidance of former international basketball players, including Javed Khan and Tanweer Ahmed. Senior women basketball players would coach and train girls, he said.
He said final dates would be announced soon.
Shan said that the boys’ coaching camp would be held at Nishtar Park’s basketball court while the one for girls would be held at
Sir Syed Girls’ College in Nazimabad.
The secretary said that the through the coaching camps talented players would be spotted for Karachi and Sindh Basketball squads for participation in the forthcoming domestic basketball events. There will be no fee for the camps.
