The tickets for the Ceremonies, along with those for six other sports, go on sale Friday (June 8) at 11am on a first come, first served basis from www.tickets.london2012.com.
The announcement of the availability of more tickets was made ahead of tomorrow's milestone of 50 days to go until the Games.
The sports for which tickets go on sale, priced from £20 ($31/€25) to £720 ($1,114/€887) each, are athletics, boxing, football at Wembley, swimming, table tennis and volleyball.
In total more than 43,000 contingency tickets will go on sale on Friday.
Contingency tickets are being released as organisers of the Games finalise seating plans.
"With 50 days to go there are still plenty of ways to join in and be part of London 2012," said London 2012 commercial director Chris Townsend.
"We are at advance stages of venue planning and these represent the final release of Ceremonies and other sport tickets.
"Over the next few weeks we will release further tickets for other Olympic sports and keep people informed when tickets are available.
"We are delighted with ticket sales to date, and have sold another one million tickets in the last four weeks, prioritising people who were unsuccessful last time around."
So far more than eight million tickets have been sold across the Olympics and Paralympics, with around three million remaining.
The biggest sport for which tickets remain is still football, with 1.25 million available.
Tickets are still available now on the London 2012 website for matches at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Hampden Park in Glasgow, Old Trafford in Manchester, the City of Coventry Stadium and St James' Park in Newcastle.
There are a total of 550,000 tickets for various other Olympic events and 1.2 million tickets for the Paralympics.
