KARACHI: With a draw against Spain and now a victory against Argentina, Pakistan are now left with just one real hurdle when they face host Great Britain on August 3 to qualify for semifinals, says former legendary Olympian Samiullah.
“A draw against Spain and a victory against Argentina have put Pakistan in the race for a semifinal berth, which has made the hockey fans hopeful and interested in the Olympics event,” Samiullah told PPI. “Pakistan should beat Great Britain and then South Africa to confirm their presence in the semifinals. Their performance so far shows that they could beat South Africa but their real test will be on Friday when they face fourth-placed Great Britain,” he said.
