KARACHI: All Karachi Anti-Narcotics Under16 Football tournament will start here at the KMC Ground from January 8. The tournament coordinator and former international referee Ahmad Jan told ‘The News’ on Tuesday that in the tournament 16 teams from the provincial metropolis will show their worth. He said it would be a successful tournament as efforts are being made to field leading players in the same age-group. He said that the draws will be held on Friday. On the opening day, a festival match between Media XI and former International XI will be held. International XI will be led by former striker Ali Nawaz Baloch while Col Changezi, Mohammad Yousuf and others will be its members. International footballers Mehwish Khan and Naila Rani will serve as observers and will select their best team in the tournament. |
