Pakistan Federation Baseball
 Pakistan Police defeated Higher Education Commission (HEC) 12-9 in the first match of the NBP-Inter-departmental Baseball Championship at the University of Central Punjab Complex here on Tuesday.
Rana Abdul Jabbar was the Chief Guest and Mr. Rt. Rev. Bishop Corlis L. Dees was the Guest of Honor on the opening day of championship.
The HEC, despite appearing for the first time in the national championship after getting playing right fought well against the well experienced Police before losing by a less margin.
For Police Usman Shahzad scored home run, Syed Dur-e-Hussain, Asad Mehmood, Ahsan Baig, M Abdullah all scored two runs each, while Abdul Samad, Shahzad Butt and Shahid chipped in with one run each.
For the HEC Nasir,Zeeshan, Afraaz Talha contributed two runs each, while their Zubair, Hasan Butt, Zeeshan Malik all produced one run, apiece.
On Wednesday, Pakistan WAPDA will meet Pakistan Police. |
