Pakistan WAPDA defeated Police by 12 runs to 5 on the second day of the NBP-Inter-departmental Baseball Championships at the University of Central Punjab Complex here on Wednesday.
Wapda’s Usman Azem remained the main scorer with four runs. Sumair, Zubair Nawaz, and Zaheer contributed two runs each. Umair and Abu Baker also added one run each for WAPDA, who remained ahead throughout the match.
For Police, which had won its opener against Higher Education Commission on Wednesday, but lost to Wapda without giving much fight, the only scorers were Shahzad Butt and M Abdullah, who made two runs each. Nadir Butt earned one run.
WAPDA will play second match against HEC on Thursday. |
