Pakistani Youth footballers showed their professional game skills and outclassed Turkmenistan in AFC U-14 Championship -2014 (Qualifiers) match at Samen Al Aemeh Stadium, Mashad, Iran by 6:0. Striker Muhammad Shahid gave Pakistan his first goal when he scored in the 4th minute of the game. In the 25th minute Striker Junaid Ahmed scored the second goal, in the 30th minute of the first half defender Saif Ali scored the third goal. In the 32nd & 35th minute of the second half Striker Majid Khan scored twice to further increase the Pakistan tally and last but not the least Pakistan Striker Muhammad Shahid scored 6th goal bringing the honor for Pakistan in one sided affair. The victory of Pakistan places it amongst the top youth teams of Asia. Hard and dedicated supervision of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) along with the team management has brought this victory to Pakistan.
According to the press release issued here by PFF, Pakistan enjoyed playing in overcast conditions and the large supporting crowd, whilst Pakistan took no time to settle into the game. Pakistan team showed its expertise in the game of football by exhibiting a formidable offensive and defensive line. This match was equally important for Turkmenistan whose team has already played a draw against Kyrgyzstan. Though Turkmenistan team is consider a favorite team but was bulldozed in this match by a better planning and offensive strategy of the Pakistani team under the expert coaching. This victory is continuity of a chain of recent laurels being brought in by the youths of Pakistan establishing the facts that they are second to none in the field of sports.
President PFF, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat was over joyed with the efforts of the Pakistani youth team and said that they have kept their word. He was pleased with the effort of PFF in coaching of the players and training being given to them by their coaches. In the end he said a united and dedicated effort must be maintained to keep the standard flying high.
General Secretary PFF, Lt. Col. ® Ahmed Yar Khan Lodhi TI (M) promised to put in his altruistic effort beyond the call of his duty to make PFF a shining star in the world of sports. in the end, he congratulated the football family of Pakistan and prayed for their well being and success in future.
Pakistan U-14 National team now play their next games against Kyrgyzstan on 26, April, arch rival India on 28 April, Host Iran on 29 April. |
