Day 2 - Seminar on “Doping” and “CGF Charter of Good Conduct

The Seminar on “Doping and Good Conduct” organized by Pakistan Olympic Association in collaboration with Sports Board Punjab concluded today (12-06-2022).

The last day of the event started with an informative presentation of the Result Management, Sanctions and Appeals by Dr. Asad Abbas. Ms. Ada Jaffery presented a lecture on “Protection from Harassment and Abuse in Sports” in the context of the CGF Charter of Good Conduct of Birmingham 2022. Dr. Asad Abass Shah imparted valuable knowledge and techniques for prevention from sports injuries as well as importance of Nutrition in sports.

Mr. Javid Rashid Chohan, Director General Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Punjab elaborated in his speech the support Govt. of Punjab aim to deliver to athletes. He presented the audience various projects in progress by Sports Board Punjab recognizing their valuable contribution for the purpose.

Syed Mohammad Abid Qadri, Vice President POA / Chef De Mission, Birmingham 2022 presented souviner to Mr. Javid Rashid Chohan, Director General Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt of Punjab, Mr. Hafeez Bhatti, Chief Sports Consultant, Sports Board Punjab and Syed Umair Hassan, Director/Public Relations Officer, Youth Affairs & Sports Department Government of Punjab.

Mr. Muhammad Inam Butt Chariman Athletes Commission of Pakistan Olympic Association Ms. Mahmoor Shahzad, Member POA Athletes Commission expressed their gratitude on behalf of all the participants of the Seminar for continually organizing such type of events before every Games.

Mr. Muhammad Khalid Mahmood, Secretary General POA thanked the athletes for attending the important Seminar. He thanked the Mr. Javid Rashid Chohan, Director General Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt. of Punjab and his team for supporting POA in organizing the event. He further thanked the Presidents and Secretary Generals of National Sports Federation/ Organizations for their presence in both days and expressed that they will continue to educate their athletes on doping issues and make efforts to clean sport.
