The Pakistan Olympic Association in collaboration with IOC Olympic Solidarity is organizing Sports Administration Course for Men & Women at Hotel Pak Heritage, Davis Road, Lahore. This Course will start on 09th July, 2012 and would terminate on 15th July, 2012. 24 Sports Leaders/Lecturers in Physical Education through the courtesy of Director of Colleges, Lahore and Chairman Sports Science Department, University of Punjab, Lahore have confirmed their participation.

The main purpose of the Course is to enhance the competence, administrative and management skills of sports leaders associated with various sports programmes in colleges. Keeping in view the objectives of the Course such topics have been included in the daily programme which would definitely equip the participants to become proficient Sports Organizers.

The programme of the course will be run in two sessions. Morning session would start from 09:30 a.m. and close at 12:45 p.m. Then there will be a break for lunch and prayer. The second session would resume at 02:00 p.m. and continue upto 04:00 p.m. Extensive use of IT equipments like Multi-Media and Lap Top would enable the participants to view all lectures alongwith their verbal presentation by the Lecturers.

Task Oriented Group discussions, video films and visitation to the Olympic Museum are also part of the programme.

Three IOC Certified National Course Directors namely Engr. Abdul Khaliq Khan, Mian Muhammad Rafiq, and Prof. Painda A. Malik will tutor the course. In addition Dr. Syed Meesaq Hussain Rizvi, Member, POA Medical Commission, Mr. Muhammad Ali, Sports Journalist, Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt and Ms. Sumera Sattar renowned athletes and Sports Organizers have been requested to deliver lectures in their specific areas.

On the Closing day evaluation of the participants will be done on the basis of which they shall be eligible for certification. Closing Ceremony of the Course will be held on 15th July, 2012 after evaluation is completed.
