Pakistan Olympic Association initiated to organize Sports Administration Course for Men & Women in collaboration with KP Olympic Association at Valley View Hotel, Nathia Gali. The Course is in progress from today i.e. 3rd September, 2012 and will terminate on 9th September, 2012.
The main purpose of the Course is to enhance competence, administrative and management skills of sports leaders associated with various sports Associations and Sports Directorate of KP. Keeping in view the objectives of the Course such topics have been included in the daily programme which would definitely equip the participants to become proficient Sports Organizers.
On the opening day 3 women and 15 men participants were in attendance. According to the Secretary KP Olympic Association, Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Butt, 3 more women are likely to join the Course this evening.
The programme of the course is divided in two sessions i.e. Morning & Evening starting from 09:30 a.m. and closing 04:00 p.m. with an interval for lunch in between. The daily workload is spread over 5 hours. Today 4 topics were covered. Similarly by Mian Muhammad Rafiq, National Course Director i.e. Introduction and purposes of the Course, Sport for All, Elimination Tournament and Fair Play. The other National Course Director, Mr. Abdul Khaliq Khan will join on the 4th September, 2012 evening. Extensive use of IT equipments like Multi-Media and Lap Top would enable the participants to view all lectures alongwith their verbal presentation by the Lecturers.
