Aamir Atlas falls to Egyptian opponent

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Aamir Atlas Khan lost to Omer Abdul Mequid of Egypt in the quarterfinals of Jena International squash tournament currently under progress in Kuwait. Aamir, ranked at number 37 in the world, could not show his best and lost to world number 64 Omer 11-9, 11-13, 11-8, 11-8. Earlier, another Pakistani player Yasir Butt, ranked 67, could not make his presence felt and lost in the first round to world number 102 Zahed Mohamed of Egypt 11-8, 8-11, 11-8, 3-11, 8-11. The 16-man tournament carries a prize basket of $15000.
