Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has received recognition of Pakistan Basketball Federation headed by Mr. Rashid Ali Malik as consequence of thorough review by the FIBA governance and Legal Commission as well as by the FIBA Central Board in its last meeting of 08 August, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. A copy of FIBA letter dated 13 August 2015 is attached.
Pakistan Olympic Association express its good wishes to the said officials of Pakistan Basketball Federation with the hope that the activity of Basketball will be reactivated/revived to a desirable level to catch up with International standards. This is a good omen and a step towards eliminating fake bodies not affiliated to or recognized by POA.
