Pakistan Ju-Jitsu Federation

4th Asian Championship was concluded here today in an impressive closing ceremony having live telecast throughout the Iran and around the world.

Speaking on the occasion President Asian Ju-Jitsu & Belt Wrestling Federation Mr.Khalil Ahmed Khan expressed his thanks to the Government of Islamic republic of Iran & the NOC-Iran for the excellent hospitality provided to the participants of the event.

This event was a colourful feature of World Martial Arts Festival 3rd Edition which witnesses the participation of more than 2000 participants around the world.

AJJBWF conducted its 4th Asian Championship for Ju-Jitsu & Belt Wrestling Sports which events were broadcasted live on national television network by Iran.

The Players of Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Thailand, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Vietnam, and Afghanistan as of over 150 players participated in this mega event and won laurels for their respective countries.

The National team of Pakistan which participated in the event with only 04 players including one girl have shown outstanding performance and secured 10 Medals in total, including 01 Gold, 04 Silver and 05 Bronze Medals in these both sports by participating into different weight categories and disciplines. Such as Duo System, Fighting System and Belt Wrestling Classical Style and  Free Style events.

A young pair of Mohammad Ammar & Abu Hurrerra scured first Gold Medal for Pakistan in Men-Duo System, where as Abu Hurrera Secured Silver Medal in -62 Kg Fighting System, and Bronze Medal in Belt Wrestling Free Style and Bronze in Classic Style; Whereas, Mohammad Ammar, secured Bronze Medal in -69 Kg Fighting event and also secured  Bronze in BW Classic with another Bronze Medal in free style BW event.

Mr.Mohammad Irfan of Pakistan Secured his Silver medal in -77kg fighting event, as he got severe injured during his final fight so he has to quit the fight on the Doctor advise, as result of it, the chance of another Gold medal was gone away from Pakistan, as Mr.Irfan was leading the fight with clear difference of points.

Only women participant from Pakistan Sundas Islam Khan secured  her Silver medal in -49kg Fighting System and another silver Medal in -48 kg event of BW. Hence, these young players of Pakistan pocketed 10 medals in total in the basket of Pakistan.

 

It was to be mentioned here that PJJF has chosen 15 members team for the event and accordingly applied the NOC from PSB, but No grant was given to PJJF hence, contingent was reduced at the last moment and only 04 players were given opportunity to participate in the said event in Kish-Iran.
