The General Assembly of Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has unanimously reelected H.H. Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah as President and Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan as Vice President (South Asia) for the next term 2015-2019. The elective General Assembly of OCA met in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan and reposed confidence in the dynamic and visionary leadership of H.H. Sheikh Ahmad AL Fahad Al Sabah who is also President of Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah is well reputed for his interest, initiatives and contributions in sports. He has undertaken numerous significant sporting positions globally and has been the President of the Olympic Council of Asia since 1991, a member of the IOC since 1992 and President of ANOC since 2012.

Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan, President Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) has been part of OCA Executive Board for last eight years and elected for the third consecutive time that indeed is remarkable achievement and speaks for his marathon efforts, endeavours and commitments for the promotion of Olympic Movement in Pakistan and South Asia. His reelection to this position speaks volumes of his qualities as a human and a sport leader. The trust and confidence reposed in him is certainly a great honour and pride for the Olympic fraternity of Pakistan.

Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) is grateful to the OCA for electing the best Executive Board and pays tribute to H.HE. Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah for leading the OCA in such an exemplary and outstanding manner that has elevated Olympism throughout the world.
