Press Release - Opening Ceremony of 2nd National Good Governance & Leadership Course Back To Main
Dear Media Friends,
It gives me immense pleasure to inform that Three days Good Governance and Leadership Course has been introduced in line with IOC, Olympic Agenda 2020 recommendations for Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance of the Olympic and Sports Movement. It is an effort to comply with the directions of IOC to promote Olympic and Sports Movement through Good Governance at all levels.
The Opening Ceremony of "2nd National Good Governance & Leadership Course" was held today (01-02-2018) at Pakistan Olympic House, 2-Hameed Nizami (Temple) Road, Lahore. This course is being organized by Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) in collaboration with Pakistan Olympic Association on 01-03 February, 2018.
Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Vice President Pakistan Olympic Association /Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation inaugurated the subject Course as Chief Guest. Mr. Ahmed Ali Rajput, Secretary General Sindh Olympic Association and Mr. Muhammad Jahangir, Chairman Pakistan Karate Federation were also present as the guest of Honor. 30 x Participants/office bearers of Provincial Sports Associations of Punjab and Executive Committee Member of Punjab Olympic Association participated.
On first day (01-02-2018) Mian Muhammad Rafiq, Director Coordination, POA/ National Course Director delivered a lecture on "Highest level of competence, integrity and ethical standards" whereas Prof Painda A Malik, Vice President Pakistan Gymnastics Federation/ National Course Director delivered a lecture on "Solidarity and Development". Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob, Vice President Pakistan Olympic Association /Chairman Pakistan Volleyball Federation also delivered a lecture on "Harmonious relations with government while preserving autonomy"
Khawaja Idris Haider, Secretary General, Punjab Olympic Association expressed his deep gratitude for Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan HI(M), President POA for providing this opportunity to the office bearers of Provincial Sports Associations of Punjab and Executive Committee Member of Punjab Olympic Association. He also thanked Ch. Muhammad Yaqoob for inaugurating the course and delivering a very useful lecture.
