Pakistan Squash Federation

Pakistan Squash Federation observed that most of our talented players are lacking in education. In order to support them, PSF has launched its educational program by seeking admission in reputed educational institutes. Based upon their national ranking, educational standard and future potential, a group of 04 players (Mr Mansoor Zaman, Mehran Javed, Salman Jilani and Ali Karamat) were admitted at Heavy Industries Taxila Education City (HITEC) in 6th and 8th grades with a squash coach provided by the Pakistan Sports Board.

In order to apprise the media on the project, PSF arranged a media (Print and Electronic) trip to HITEC on 22 May, 2012. They were thoroughly briefed by HITEC Administrator Brig Taj Iqbal (Retd) on the educational and other extra curriculum activities of the players’. The media Reps were taken to their Hostels, class rooms, IT Lab, prayer area etc. Subsequently, they were further taken to POF-Jahangir Khan Squash Complex Wah Cantt where these players get training and play game on daily basis.  Players’ interviews were also recorded to cover their daily routine.

After complete visit of the HITEC, the media personnel highly appreciated the PSF project by adding that this program would bring good name to Pakistan in the field of sports and education.

The management of HITEC was also greatful for the coverage of their efforts in field of education and sports. They further assured that they would continue to support potential players in the future, as well.
