KARACHI: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi moved up to number 12 in the individual doubles rankings thanks to his victory at the Halle Open, which got him 250 points.

On Monday, he climbed the ATP doubles ranking from 15 to 12 with total 4430 points. His Dutch Partner Rojer Jean-Julien also got a boost of two positions and he now sits in 21st position.

They are now playing UNICEF Open, another ATP 250 tournament, on grass in Netherlands. The duo is to face a Columbian pair of Santiago Girlado and Alejandro Falla, who are ranked 243th and 374th respectively, in the round 16 of the Unicef Open on Tuesday (today).

Playing this tournament will help the duo have enough practice before they appear in Wimbledon — another grass-court stop.

The qualifying rounds of Wimbledon are currently underway.

Aisam has so far this year won 22 matches and lost 13 with two ATP 250 titles. He has seven titles in his career.

Last year, Aisam and his Indian partner Rohan Bopanna fell in the round 64 of Wimbledon against the Columbian pair of Juan Sebastian Cabal (39th) and Rober Farah (100th) 6-2, 2-6, 19-21.
