Aqeel tops Sindh rankings Back To Main

KARACHI: Aqeel Khan continues to top the rankings of men’s singles category, reveal figures released by

 

Sindh Tennis Association (STA) on Wednesday. STA announced half-yearly tennis rankings for the players of the province based on the events played during the first half of the year 2012.

 

The rankings are based on the results of the seven championships that the association organised during this period: 21st SSB Talent Hunt, 17th STA Development Series, 10th Westbury Open, 1st Akram Rair Super Series, 9th Pizza Hut Open Super Series, 4th Maroof Trophy, and 18th Bath Island Development Series Tennis Championships.

 

Aqeel Khan continued to top the rankings of men’s singles category with 130 points, while Nomi Qamer stood second with 120 points.

 

In ladies singles, Hania Naveed became the new Sindh No. 1 with 280 points, while Neha Khan replaced Sara Ahmed with 190 points.

 

Talha Zubair and Omer Shahid shared the third position in men’s singles with 100 points each, and Fahim Ramzan claimed the fourth spot with 71 points.
