Diya Women FC Win Back To Main

KARACHI: Karachi’s Diya Women FC wore the crown after they overwhelmed Rawalpindi’s Young Rising Star 3-1 on penalties in the final of the NBP Inter-Club Women Football tournament here at the People’s Sports Complex on Friday.
After the match ended in a goalless draw in the scheduled and extra time, Diya Women FC held their nerves during the penalty shootouts to clinch the trophy. Fatima Ansari, Erum Kazmi and Afshan Altaf converted their penalties for Diya Women FC.
For Young Rising Star, only Asmara Kayani scored from the spot. Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) women wing chairperson Robina Irfan gave away trophies and other cash awards.
