Annual Cash Rewards for Football Bodies Announced Back To Main

KARACHI: In order to promote football in the country, Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) will extend cash prizes under the ‘Excellence Award’ each year to best performing stakeholders. The stakeholders include provincial and regional football associations, clubs and departments. A spokesman for the PFF said on Monday that the provincial association that excels in a given calendar year will be handed over a cheque of Rs1,000,000. The top regional association, club and department will get Rs500,000 each. The awards, for the first time, will be given in January 2013. The idea to award the top performing bodies with cash prizes was floated in the PFF Congress meeting in Lahore last year and was appreciated by all the members which subsequently led to its formal approval.
