16TH EDITION INTERNATIONAL COACHING ENRICHMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM (ICECP) – (2025–2026)

Dear Madam/ Sir,
1. We are pleased to inform that the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), in partnership with the University of Delaware, has announced the 16th edition of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP) for the year 2025–2026. This program, supported by Olympic Solidarity, is designed to enhance coaching proficiency and develop national coaching structures across Olympic sports.
2. ICECP is a comprehensive coaches’ education program comprising five modules spread over an academic year, including virtual and face-to-face components. Participants will develop and implement a personal coaching project under international mentorship. Full participation inall modules is mandatory. The schedule is as follows:
• 15 July 2025 – Launch of Virtual Module (Module 1)
• 16 – 22 October 2025 – Module 2: University of Delaware, Newark, USA
• 23 – 25 October 2025 – Module 3: Project development and tutoring
• 26 October – 1 November 2025 – Module 4: Apprenticeship at designated sites
• April – May 2026 – Module 5: Project presentation at IOC Headquarters, Lausanne, Switzerland
3. The eligibility criteria for ICECP 2025–2026 are as follows:
• Fluency in written and spoken English (interviews will be conducted to confirm proficiency).
• Active coach with practical experience at the national/international level.
• Recognition as an official coach by the respective National Federation or International Federation.
• Commitment to returning and contributing to the development of their sport and national coaching systems.
• Submission of a coaching development project proposal aligned with the goals of the ICECP.
4. The tuition fee for the program is USD 10,000, covering instruction, accommodation, meals, internal transport, health insurance, and air travel within the U.S. and to the apprenticeship site. Candidates may benefit from scholarships offered by Olympic Solidarity and USOPC which may cover full or partial expenses, including international airfare.
5. In this regard, affiliated federations are invited to nominate one eligible candidate by 30 May 2025 and submit the following documents:
• ICECP Application Form (Copy attached)
• Olympic Scholarship Form (Copy attached)
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Copy of valid passport
• Passport-size photograph (electronic version preferred)
• Medical certificate
• Letter of support from the National Federation
• Cover letter from the candidate
6. Incomplete and/or nominations received after the given deadline shall not be considered.
7. Priority will be given to coaches belonging to sports whose representatives have not previously availed this or similar international opportunities.
8. The selected candidate must sign and submit an undertaking on stamp paper, committing to complete the course and fulfill all academic requirements. Non-compliance will result in repayment of the full course fee (USD10,000). Candidates will be interviewed before final selection.
