17TH EDITION INTERNATIONAL COACHING ENRICHMENT CERTIFICATE PROGRAM (ICECP) – (2026–2027)

1. We are pleased to inform that the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC), in collaboration with the University of Delaware and with the support of Olympic Solidarity, has announced the 17th Edition of the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Program (ICECP) 2026–2027. This prestigious program aims to enhance coaching excellence and strengthen national coaching systems across Olympic sports.

2. The ICECP is open to coaches from all Olympic sports; however, preference will be given to candidates from the following disciplines as informed by the USOPC:

• Archery, Athletics, Basketball, Fencing, Hockey, Judo, Rowing, Rugby, Swimming,
• Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling
3. ICECP is a comprehensive coaches’ education program comprising six modules spread over an academic year, including virtual and face-to-face components. Participants will develop and implement a personal coaching project under international mentorship. Full participation in all modules is mandatory. The schedule is as follows:

• Module 1: 7 April 2026, University of Delaware, Launch of Virtual Program;
• Module 2: 17 – 22 September 2026, University of Delaware;
• Module 3: 23 – 27 September 2026, University of Delaware;
• Module 4: 27 – 3 October 2026 at Designated Apprenticeship Sites;
• Module 5: November 2026 – March 2027 in home country;
• Module 6: April 2027, IOC Headquarters, Lausanne, Switzerland
4. The eligibility criteria for ICECP 2026–2027 are as follows:
• English fluency in reading, writing and speaking; interviews will be performed to ensure English Proficiency
• Belong to a federation of a sport on the Olympic programme;
• Hold the rank of official coach recognized in his/ her country of origin and/or by the respective International Federation;
• Be active and able to prove that he/she has practical experience as a coach at national/international level;

5. The Olympic Solidarity scholarship covers tuition fees, shared accommodation, meals, health insurance, internal transportation, and international air travel to the United States, the designated apprenticeship site, and from the candidate’s home country to Lausanne for the final module.

6. In this regard, affiliated federations are invited to nominate one eligible candidate by 06 February 2026 and submit the following documents:

• ICECP Application Form (attached)
• Olympic Solidarity Scholarship Form (attached)
• Detailed Curriculum Vitae, including educational background; coaching courses/certifications (if attended); and achievements as an athlete and as a coach at national and/or international level, with clear details of competitions/events and medals won.
• Copy of valid passport
• Passport-size digital photograph
• Medical certificate
• Letter of support from the National Federation
• Cover letter from the candidate
• Departmental No Objection Certificate (if the candidate is employed by any service/department)
• Undertaking on stamp paper as mentioned in para 8 below.
7. Incomplete and/or nominations received after the given deadline shall not be considered. Priority will be given to coaches belonging to sports whose representatives have not previously availed this or similar international opportunities. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, and one candidate will be recommended to the President, Pakistan Olympic Association, for final approval.

8. The candidate shall be required to sign and submit an undertaking on stamp paper, committing to complete the course, fulfill all academic requirements, and return to Pakistan upon completion. In the event of non-compliance, the candidate shall be liable to repay the full course fee (USD 10,000), duly certified and verified by the nominating Federation/Organization.
