Master’s Degree Program in Olympic Studies, University of Peloponnese, Greece (2026-2027)
1. The Department of Sports Organization and Management of the Faculty of Human Movement and Quality of Life Sciences of the University of Peloponnese with the support of the International Olympic Academy organizes for the Academic year of 2026-2027 the Master’s Degree Programme with the title “Olympic Studies, Olympic Education, Organization and Management of Olympic Events”.
2. The program spans three (3) semesters, with the first two semesters requiring physical presence in Greece, as per the following schedule:
• First Semester: 18 September 2026 – 21 November 2026
• Second Semester: 3 April 2027 – 6 June 2027

• Third Semester: September 2027 – February 2028
(Thesis preparation at the student’s place of residence)
3. The tuition fees for the programme payable by the students are 5.000,00 Euros (cost per student) for the three semesters. (They are due and payable in three (3) installments, before the beginning of each semester. Additionally, the cost of full boarding the IOA premises will be confirm on an individual basis, depending on the the type of accommodation and funding source of the candidate . 4. Olympic Solidarity offers a limited number of scholarships covering the costs of tuition fees (as well as a contribution for travel cost and/or board and lodging costs on exceptional basis). Priority will be given to the NOCs deemed to have the greatest needs in this area and to those who have not benefited from scholarships for this programme in the past. We will also seek to achieve a balanced representation of both genders among the scholarship recipients.
5. Foregoing above, you are invited to nominate one suitable candidate holding at least a Bachelor’s degree, and submit the following documents via email by 31 March 2026, to allow timely submission to the IOC and IOA:
a. Application form (copy attached)
b. Application form for Olympic Scholarship (copy attached)
c. Clear photocopy of bachelor degree (or degrees) from Greek or foreign Higher Education Institutions proving full time studies with a duration of at least three years
d. An official bachelor degree transcript (grades from all subjects and from all the years of study, including the degree’s grade and stating the date of award)
e. Clear photocopy of a certificate that includes the bachelor’s thesis title and its grade (if applicable)
f. Clear photocopy of postgraduate studies degree (or degrees) (if applicable)
g. Clear photocopy of good knowledge of English language and adequate level of knowledge in any other language
h. CV – extended curriculum vitae that includes a detailed description of studies, professional experience, research and/or scientific work as well as any, extracurricular activities.
i. Documents supporting the above-mentioned professional experience and research activity of the applicant i.e. copy of publications in scientific journals, copy of any published work etc (if applicable)
j. Clear photocopy of Passport or ID Card (ID Card only for European Countries)
k. Two recent passport size photographs with adequate identification
l. Certification proving any participation in sports activities, in IOA activities, in seminars on Olympic Education or in any sport event organization (if applicable)
m. A recommendation letter from a University Professor.
n. Other recommendation letters National Sport Federations / Organizations
o. Evidence of any other activity that can support the candidate’s application
p. Departmental No Objection Certificate (if the candidate is employed by any service/department)
q. Surety bond on stamp paper by his/her immediate family members as mentioned in para 8 below.
r. Undertaking by the candidate as mentioned in para 8 below.
6. Please note that Clear photocopies of documents issued by foreign authorities, which have been certified by the Greek Embassy/Consulate, by the Apostille certification, or by a Greek lawyer, are accepted (the stamp must be visible on the photocopy). All other document copies must be certified by an official institution. Certified copies of degrees and transcripts are also accepted if issued by a Higher Education Institution and sent in the Institution’s official stamped and sealed envelopes.
7. Incomplete and/or nominations received after the given deadline shall not be considered. Priority will be given to coaches belonging to sports whose representatives have not previously availed this or similar international opportunities. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews, and one candidate will be recommended to the President, Pakistan Olympic Association, for final approval.
8. The candidate shall be required to submit a surety bond on stamp paper, by his/her immediate family members, undertaking that the candidate will return to Pakistan upon completion of the Programme. In case the candidate fails to return, a sum of PKR 1,000,000 (Rupees One Million) shall be payable. Furthermore, the candidate shall undertake to complete the course and fulfill all academic requirements; failing which, he/she shall be liable to repay the full course fee (Euro 5,000), duly certified and verified by the nominating Federation/Organization.
