Identification of Promising Elite Athletes for LA 2028 Olympic Games
1. With reference to the discussion held during the General Council Meeting of the Pakistan Olympic Association on 31 January 2026, National Sports Federations are requested to identify and submit a list of promising elite athletes from their respective disciplines who have a realistic potential to qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
2. In this regard, Federations are requested to provide detailed information of such athletes, covering their national and international achievements during the last three to five (3–5) years on the attached format.
3. The objective of this initiative is to enable the Pakistan Olympic Association to develop a focused elite athlete pool and to pursue potential financial and technical assistance for athlete preparation from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), and the corporate sector.
4. National Sports Federations are requested to submit the required information on or before 20 February 2026 to facilitate timely planning and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Kindly note if no response is received from your side by the given deadline, it will be assumed that your organization does not have eligible athletes or is not interested in this program.
