Welcome to the Pakistan Rowing Federation
The Pakistan Rowing Federation is the national governing body to develop and promote the sport of Rowing in the Country. The Federation is affiliated with the International Rowing Federation (FISA) and Asian Rowing Federation (ARF).
After independence, Rowing activities in the Country were lookafter by the Karachi Boat Club (KBC). Thereafter Pakistan Rowing Federation was formed in early 80s. Sind Rowing Association was formed in Karachi and it was affiliated with the Rowing Federation. Rowing was also included in the National Games.
Pakistan Rowing Federation won seven Silver medals in 10th South Asian Games held in Colombo, Sri Lanka 2006.
Mission Page
The mission of the Pakistan Rowing Federation is to promote and develop the sport of rowing in Pakistan in accordance with the International Rowing Federation (FISA) rules.
Pakistan Rowing Federation
- To encourage, promote, control and assist the development of Rowing in Pakistan.
- To organize Regattas and championships in Rowing and to authorize the holding of same year;
- To control and standardize umpiring through Pak. Rowing Umpires Association.
- To encourage the formation of Provincial Rowing Associations.
- To arrange, assist, finance, if requires and encourage systematic training of Oarsmen through coaching centers in Pakistan or training programs in other countries.
- To arrange and finance Pakistan’s representatives teams for participation in World and International Championships.
- To certify the ‘Amateur’ status of Pakistan. Oarsmen where ever required.
- To raise funds for carrying out the aforesaid objectives of the Federation, and
- To do all such other things that may be ancillary to the attainment of the above aims and objectives.
