Welcome to the WAPDA Sports Board
WAPDA got affiliated with the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) in 1984. WAPDA is one of the largest organizations in the Country that helps develop sport in the Country. In 1960, WAPDA Sports Board was established for promotion of sports in WAPDA. Since its affiliation with the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) it has made worthwhile contributions towards promotion of sports at the National and International level.
WAPDA Sports Board consists of 15 x Sports Units throughout the country viz PESCO, IESCO, GEPCO, LESCO, FESCO, MEPCO, HESCO, QESCO, TESCO, NTDC, GENCOs, HYDEL, HEAD OFFICE, TESCO, SEPCO and WATER WING. More than 1500 sports men/women are currently employed by these Units involving financial implication of about Rs.180 million per annum on account of their pay and allowances.
