Press Release Pakistan Baseball Team Will Participate in World Baseball (U-12) Cup 2013 Back To Main

2^nd International Baseball Federation (IBAF) World Baseball Cup (U-12) is being organized from July 18 to 28, 2013 in Taipei City, Chinese Taipei. IBAF (International Baseball Federation) announced that 16 teams will take part in the World Cup.

Participating teams have been divided into two groups as under:

Group A:        Chinese Taipei, Mexico, Japan, Italy, Colombia, Czech Republic, India, Hong Kong

Group B:        USA, Venezuela, Brazil, Korea, Panama, Nigeria, Russia, Pakistan

Syed Khawar Shah Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball told that this is a great achievement and honor for Pakistan that Pakistan (U-12) Baseball Team has qualified for the participation in 2^nd International Baseball Federation (IBAF) World Baseball Cup (U-12) for the first time. For the participation of Pakistan National Baseball Team, the game of Baseball will be flourished and get popularity in Pakistan. He also informed that Pakistan is ranked 23^rd out of 124 countries of the world and 6^th in Asia.

Syed Khawar Shah informed that for the selection of National Youth Team (U-12) the open trials will be held on May 30, 2013 at 11:00am in The Lords School System Gulberg and 25 players will be picking up for National Training Camp for 40 days. Pakistan Federation Baseball will provide best coaches to supervise the Training Camp. Final Trial will be held on July 15, 2013 at The Lords School System Gulberg. The age limits of the participant those who born in or after 2001 are illegible to participate. As per International Baseball Federation rule parents accompany with their children at their own expenses.
