Welcome to the Pakistan Gymnastics Federation

Pakistan Gymnastics Federation is the national governing body of sport of Gymnastics in the Country. The Federation is affiliated with the Federation Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) and Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU).

At the time of independence, the only important Centre of gymnastics was Lahore. In the early days, the Game did With the sincere efforts of Master GhulamQadir, Master M. Feroze, Maulvi M. Ashraf, Abdul LatifKhokhar, M.SadiqShaikh,ChaudhryManshaMinhas, KhawajaZahidSaeed, Amin Butt, ManzoorJafary, Shuja-U-din Qureshi, PaindaA.Malik, HabiburRehman Khan this sport was kept alive in the Country.

Prominent Gymnasts include Humayoun and Musharaf from Sind and Muhammad Farooq, Khalid Rathor,  Nazar Muhammad, M. AqeelAsghar from Punjab and Khalid Mehmood, Tauqeer and Akbar Shah from Pakistan Army and Hamid Mehmood, AzharIrfan. M.Nadeem, Abdul Qadoos, M.Afzal, KhurramSHahzad and M.Yasir from Wapda and Abdullah Jan and MudassarRafiq from Police.

Regular National Gymnastics Championships under 14 and 18 are being conducted by the Federation. In 1966, Pakistan participated for the first time in the First Asian (GANEFO) in Cambodia and obtained fourth position in the event.
In December 2004, the Pakistan Gymnastics team participated in the 1st Indo-Pak Punjab Games 2004 held in Patiala, India. Pakistan and won two Gold, four Silver and Seven Bronze medals.

In 2012 M.AqeelAsgharattened FIG Age Group Project in Doha, Qatar.

In 2014 GhulamQadirAndM.AqeelAsghar represented the country in Commonwealth Games, Glasgow.

In 2014 M.AfzalAndM.Yasir represented Pakistan in Asian Games, Incheon, Korea.

In 2014 PaindaA.Malik.MuhammadFarooq and M. AqeelAsghar attended AGU Coaches common training camp in Riyadh, Saudi Araibia.

PaindaA.Malik has been elected as the vice president of Asian Gymnastic Union and president of Central South Asian Gymnastics.

The Federation has a number of qualified International Gymnastic Judges and various National Judges on its panel. Furthermore, the Federation has also a number of qualified coaches on its panel who have passed coaching courses organized by Olympic Solidarity Commission under International Olympic Committee (IOC)

The federation has now introduced competition in women Artistic Gymnastics and Trampoline.
