Press Release - Meeting of South Asian Olympic Council (SAOC) 21-07-2018 Back To Main

Assalmualaikum,

South Asian Olympic Committee (SAOC) held its meeting today in Khatmandu, Nepal to finalise the sports for the 13th Chapter of South Asian Games scheduled to be held on 09-18 March 2019 as well as to approve the amendments to the Constitution of SAOC.

The Committee endorsed the already approved 25 sports and added Cricket and Paragliding for both men and women for the forthcoming Games. The Committee further decided to hold its next meeting during the course of sian Games at Jakarta and approve the amendments to the Constitution and other modalities of South Asian Games.

The delegation of Pakistan Olympic Association, Mr. Muhammad Khalid Mahmood and Mr. Muhammad Shafique represented National Olympic Committee
of Pakistan.
