Press Release - Mr. Shah Hussain Shah Judoka Qualified for Tokyo 2020 Back To Main

International Judo Federation (IJF) has informed Pakistan Olympic Association that Mr. Shah Hussain Shah has secured Continental Quota place in -100kg of Judo for Tokyo 2020. It will be the second time he will be participating in the Olympic Games representing Pakistan. Mr. Shah has clinched medals in Commonwealth and South Asian Games for Pakistan.

Lt. Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan, President POA has congratulated Mr. Shah for securing Olympic berth for consecutive second time. President POA paid tribute to his parents who worked real hard to train and support their son. It indeed is a great honour for Mr. Hussain Shah, father of Mr. Shah Hussain Shah, who secured Bronze in Boxing at Seoul'88 Olympic Games.

With his inclusion, Pakistani athletes have so far earned participation in Athletics, Badminton, Judo, Shooting and Swimming events of Tokyo 2020.
