KARACHI: Army and Punjab qualified for the semifinals of the 10th National Women Netball Championship being held at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on Tuesday. Army beat Punjab 17-3 and then crushed LGS 25-10 to qualify for the last four. Punjab, after losing to Army 3-17, were able to humiliate Islamabad 20-1 to move into the semifinals. In other matches, WAPDA beat HEC 18-17, Sindh overpowered Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 13-11, LGS outgunned LUMS 10-6, Islamabad defeated FATA 11-2 and HEC beat Balochistan 19-7.
