Aamir Atlas hopes to better international ranking Back To Main

KARACHI: Pakistan’s top squash star Aamir Atlas Khan has vowed to bounce back in international rankings in near future a day after winning COAS International — PSA World Tour Challenger 10 squash title at the Mushaf Squash Complex in Islamabad for the fourth time.
 
Top seed Aamir Atlas defeated defending champion but unseeded Nasir Iqbal in the final of the COAS International in straight sets.
 
However Aamir Atlas, who reached career best rankings at No 14 in November 2009, is currently ranked at No 32.
 
“I will participate in next month’s British Open in London,” Aamir Atlas told PPI. “I am in good form and fit therefore I am hopeful of performing well in the tournament and better my rankings in that tournament as well.”
 

The nephew of squash legend Jansher Khan would be featuring in a tournament outside Pakistan after three months, when he competes in British Open next month. He participated in JP Morgan Tournament of Champions in New York in January. Amir fell in the very first round of the tournament.
