Aisam-Rojer in Halle final Back To Main

KARACHI: Aisam-ul-Haq and his partner Rojer-Jean Julien reached the doubles final of the Halle Open on Saturday.

The duo defeated the pair of Lukasz Kubot of Poland (ranked 60th) and Mikhail Youzhny of Russia (124th) 6-2, 6-4 in the semifinal.

They will face Treat Conrad Huey of Philippines, ranked 39th, and Scot Lipsky of United States, ranked 43rd, in the final of the tournament on Sunday (today).

The tournament is being played in Germany from June 11-17 at grass courts.

Aisam won this title last year in partnership with Indian Rohan Boppana when they defeated Robin Haase of Netherlands and Milos Raonic of Canada 7-6, 3-6, 11-9, who were then ranked 88th and 406th, respectively. This is an ATP 250 tournament, winning which would bag Aisam 250 points.
