Press Release - Closing Ceremony of 2nd National Good Governance & Leadership Course Back To Main

The Closing Ceremony of "2nd National Good Governance & Leadership Course" was held on 03 February, 2018 at Pakistan Olympic House, 2-Hameed Nizami (Temple) Road, Lahore and was organized by Punjab Olympic Association (PbOA) in collaboration with Pakistan Olympic Association from 01-03 February, 2018.


The Three days Good Governance and Leadership Course has been introduced in line with IOC, Olympic Agenda 2020 recommendations for Basic Universal Principles of Good Governance of the Olympic and Sports Movement. It is an effort to comply with the directions of IOC to promote Olympic and Sports Movement through Good Governance at all levels.

Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan HI(M), President, Pakistan Olympic Association has graced the Closing Ceremony as Chief Guest on 03-02-2018. Mr. Muhammad Jahagir, Associate Secretary General, POA/Chairman Pakistan Karate Federation, Mr. Rizwan ul Haq, Associate Secretary General, POA/ Presidnet Pakistan Rowing Federation, Mr. Ahmer Malik, Secretary General, Pakistan Table Tennis Federation and Mr. Parvaiz Ahmad, Secretary POA Election Commission were also present as the guest of Honor.

President POA appreciated Mr. Idris Haider Khawaja, Secretary General Punjab Olympic Association for his efforts for the smooth conduct of the subject course. Participants of the course shared their views with the President POA and praised the efforts of POA for the betterment of Sports at Provincial and National level.

President POA also appreciated the efforts of Punjab Olympic Association and awarded the certificates to the participants of the course.  Khawaja Idris Haider, Secretary General, Punjab Olympic Association expressed his deep gratitude for Lt Gen (R) Syed Arif Hasan HI(M), President POA for providing this opportunity to the office bearers of Provincial Sports Associations of Punjab and Executive Committee Member of Punjab Olympic Association.
