Press Release - CGF Women Leadership Academic Sessions Back To Main
Dear Media Friends,
We are delighted to announce the successful inauguration of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) Women Leadership Program on 12th June 2023 at POA House in Lahore. The program, organized as part of the projects of Ms. Shireen Hina Asghar, who won the esteemed CGF Women Leadership Scholarship Program on the recommendation of the Commonwealth Games Association Pakistan (CGA Pakistan)/Pakistan Olympic Association promises to be a transformative experience for all participants.
The main objective of this event is to empower women in leadership roles by equipping them with invaluable insights, skills, and networking opportunities. From 12th to 19th June 2023, a series of engaging academic sessions will take place, catering to the diverse group of participants. Invitations have been extended to 30-35 talented female students and athletes from various sports disciplines, as well as sports teachers from different schools and colleges.
The program was officially inaugurated by Ms. Fatima Lakhani, Vice President of the CGA Pakistan/ POA. Her presence added immense value to the occasion, inspiring the participants and setting a positive tone for the rest of the program. Ms. Shireen Hina, the recipient of the CGF Women Leadership Scholarship, delivered an enlightening presentation on the topic of "Challenges and Opportunities for Women in Leading Sports Organizations." Additionally, Mr. Muhammad Khalid Mahmood provided valuable insights on the topic of "Sport for Social Change."
The CGF Women Leadership Program strives to create an environment where aspiring women leaders can flourish and learn from industry experts. Through thought-provoking discussions, interactive workshops, and mentorship opportunities, the program aims to foster personal and professional growth, preparing participants for successful leadership roles in the realm of sports.
