The 12-day long Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) Baseball Coaching Course  concluded here at the Punjab Sports Board Academy on Thursday. Mr. Arif Shahzad was the Course Director and taught the finer points about the game during the course. Other lecturers were Shahzad, Syed Khawar Shah (Rules & Regulations), Musaddiq Hanif (Batting/Pitching) and Usman Shahzad ( fielding and coordinations), (Miss Sumera Sattar Executive Member of POA (Women Sports Promotion), Mr. Painda A. Malik Secretary General Pakistan Gymnastic Federation (Olympic Movement), Dr. Meesaq Rizvi (Injuries/Doping) and Mr. Salman Iqbal Butt Secretary General Punjab Athletic Association (Nutrition) also delivered lectures to the participants.

Overall 28 coaches representing Punjab, Sindh, Baluchisan, K.P.K, Islamabad, Army, WAPDA, Police and different schools, colleges and universities attended the course.

All participant coaches passed written test which was taken at end of the course.

President Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt. Gen. (Rtd.) Syed Arif Hasan was the Chief Guest who awarded certificates to all the participants of the Course. He expressed that course would help the coaches in enhancing their skill. He assured the Pakistan Federation Baseball that the POA would also get an advanced course for them from the International Olympic Committee.

Earlier, PFB president Mr Shaukat Javed thanked the POA for allotting the OCA course to the Federation.

Secretary PFB Khawar Shah also highlighted the main features of the course and said the coaches showed lot of interest in enhancing their Technical abilities by attending the course with zeal.

Miss Zaiba Manzoor from Punjab Women Baseball Association was declared as the best student of the course.

Overall, 21 male and 7  female coaches attended the course.
