PRESS RELEASE PAKISTAN WON GOLD in 11th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 Back To Main

Pakistan won Gold Medal in 11^th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 at Punjab Stadium Lahore here on Monday.

Mr. Shaukat Javed President Pakistan Federation Baseball was the Chief Guest on the Closing Ceremony of championship. Mr. C.I PARK Chief Executive Officer DAEWOO Pakistan Express Bus Service was also present on the closing ceremony. Syed Khawar Shah Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball welcomes the Guests.

For 3^rd position match of 11^th West Asia Baseball Cup 2013 Afghanistan beat Nepal 3 – 2. For Afghanistan Tahir Ali, Naqeebullah and Asim score 1 run each. For Nepal Rajesh Pariyar and Rajesh Basnet score 1 run each.

Mr. Sujeewa (Sri Lanka) was Chief Umpire and Mr. Jamil Kamran (Pakistan) was First Base Umpire, Mr. Imran Mughal (Pakistan) 2^nd Base umpire and Mr. Shabbir Ahmad (Pakistan) was 3^rd Base umpire.

On the Final Match Pakistan beat Sri Lanka 3 – 0. For Pakistan Abu Bakar score 2 runs and Adnan Butt score 1 run.

Mr. Lu, Chao-Asiung (Taiwan) was Chief Umpire and Mr. C.S Wang (Taiwan) was First Base Umpire, Mr. Tharanga (Sri Lanka) 2^nd Base umpire and Mr. Zafar Warraich (Pakistan) was 3^rd Base umpire.

Mr. Shaukat Javed Chief Guest and Mr. C.I Park Guest of Honor distributed the medals and trophies among players. Mr. Umair Imdad Bhatti declared Best Batsman of the tournament and Muhammad Usman was Best Pitcher of the tournament.

Syed Khawar Shah Secretary General Pakistan Federation Baseball also informed that Pakistan qualify for the Asian Games 2014 in Korea.
